Schedules, call sheets and budget

Script, shots and setups
- How do I break down my script, scene by scene?Every INT. or EXT. heading is a scene. Open Scenes to see them all, then click Tag, select words and say what they are. Each scene’s breakdown fills in as you go.
- How do I fill a scene with shots from a template? In Script, open Scenes and click a scene. Suggested coverage shows the three plans that fit it best; click Add shots and they land in the Shot List.
- How do I build the shot list?Open Shot List, click Add Shot, pick the scene and describe the shot. Click any shot to set its lens, focal length, support and movement.
- How do I draw a storyboard frame?Open a shot and click Draw. Sketch with the brush on a frame the exact shape of your camera, keep things on layers, and it saves as you go.
- How do I plan a lighting setup, with power and cable runs?Draw the room as a building with its outlets, make a setup from it, and place your lights. ProProduction runs the cable from each light to an outlet and makes the stinger list.
ADs, camera and the crew on the day
On set
- How do I run the shoot day on the Live board?Open Live board. The day starts at its call time, the shot you’re on counts down, and you click the tick when it’s done. Estimated wrap at the bottom moves as you go.
- How do I connect and control my cameras, like a Canon C400?Put the camera on the set’s network, type its address in Day settings → Camera, and run the Camera Agent on a Mac there. Then Camera Control on the Live board changes its settings and rolls.
- How do I send live camera pictures to the board? On a computer with the camera’s capture card, open Day settings → Camera, pick the source and the camera letter, and click Assign this camera. Anyone on the board clicks Live Stream to watch.
- How do I log takes on set?Click + Take on the shot when you go again. The take you just shot opens for notes and a circle, and the shot keeps every take under Details.
- What can I do on my phone on set?Sign in on your phone. The bar at the bottom has Today, Shots, Live, Log cost and More, and the Live board fits in one hand.
Companies and their admins
Organizations
- How do I set up my company as an organization, with teams and Spaces?Start an organization from Plan & billing. Its Organization area has a checklist: add teams for the groups who work together, and Spaces for your own stages, with their buildings drawn once.
- How do I add people to my organization, and pay for the seats? In People, add each person by email. Past your seats they wait as Pending, and one Pay adds them all, with the new price shown first.
- How do I give every project the same details, like a job number? In the Organization area, open Project template and click Add a field. Every new project asks for it, and you can print it on call sheets.
- How do I set up single sign-on with Microsoft, Google or Okta?In the Organization area, open Sign-in, pick your provider and paste the IDs your IT team gives you. Verify your email domain, test it, then turn it on.
